The recent signing of major deals means The Bloodhound Project now has sufficient funding pledged to complete the car and start the countdown to high speed testing at the Hakskeen Pan, Northern Cape, South Africa, in Autumn next year.
You might be concerned that we are about to attempt a 1,000mph land speed record when all of our understanding of the car's aerodynamic behaviour has been done using computer modelling – in a 'virtual wind tunnel'.
Our safe and professional learning environment ensures you'll receive the best coaching from the industries leading professionals to the very same standards you'd expect to find when participating in any other major sport.

In September 2015, Film Hub SWWM members Bath Film Festival, Curzon Clevedon, Afrika Eye, Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival, Carn to Cove and Cornwall Film Festival got together to host a series of site-specific cinema screenings across the region, 100% powered by the humble bicycle. Ives for a beach-side screening of Jaws, flocked to a field in Bath for a high octane Mad Max: Fury Road powered by pedals, celebrated the centenary of the Chacewater-Devoran railway with an evening of archive rail and cycle films near Truro and cycled under the stars with Afrika Eye’s three super cycling shorts…and much more. Eco-friendly and entertaining" The pilot demonstrated that the green proposition and the novelty of the offer is exciting to audiences and sponsors alike, and that there's a lot of potential with the Pedal Power model. We are making plans to raise the profile of Pedal Power Cinema and work with Film Hub SWWM partners on a month-long season of Pedal Power Cinema events, big and small, in September 2016.
In this pilot season of Pedal Power Cinema, a variety of pedal power equipment was tested out both indoor and outdoor, and in small-scale and large-scale events. 100% participating organisations felt Pedal Power Cinema expanded their networks, helped them develop new collaborative relationships and gave them the opportunity to try something new. As Louise Fox from Cornwall’s Carn to Cove put it, “We engaged with completely new, younger audiences and new partners.” Working collaboratively, Film Hub members were able to promote the events through a shared brand, marketing materials and social media promotion. Participating organisations will receive training and support from Film Hub SWWM to help them plan and fundraise for their Pedal Power Cinema screening.
With many of our students being coached at intermediate and high levels we're pleased to be taking a huge step forward in our sport by offering a level coaching which sets us apart from many surf schools.
All surfers will reap the rewards of professional coaching - helping you to succeed and improve quickly and safely.
Events took place throughout September 2015 across the South West from St Ives and Newquay in Cornwall to Clevedon and Bath, bringing great cinema to audiences young and old through pedal power.
